Teun Koopmeiners' latest transfer news: The Dutch midfielder joins Juventus
The Italian Serie A giants Juventus have announced the signing of Dutch international Teun Koopmeiners on loan from English Premier League club West Ham United.
Koopmeiners, who has been in good form for West Ham this season, will join the Bianconeri until the end of the current campaign and then be eligible to make a permanent move to Turin next summer.
Born in 1997, the 25-year-old has made more than 80 appearances for the Hammers since joining them from Feyenoord in 2016. He has also represented his country at senior level, making over 40 appearances for the Netherlands national team.
"Juventus is one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe and I'm very excited about this opportunity," Koopmeiners said after agreeing terms with the club.
"I'm looking forward to working with the team and the fans. I want to bring my experience and passion to the squad."
West Ham manager David Moyes praised Koopmeiners's talent and added that he was delighted to see him continue playing football professionally.
"It's great to see a player of his quality moving on to another club, especially as he's only just entering his prime years," Moyes said.
"We wish him all the best for the future and hope he continues to perform well for the club."
In addition to his impressive performances for West Ham, Koopmeiners has also been part of the Netherlands national team. He has scored two goals in four appearances for his country so far this year, helping them reach the quarter-finals of the European Championship.
